In case you are wondering
where to hang one of my paintings,
here are some ideas for you.
Here are some frequently asked questions:
Why should I buy art from you, Alexis?
My paintings are one-of-a-kind watercolors. While I sometimes re-visit and re-paint a subject, no two paintings are ever the same, and your selected painting will be unique and original. My standards are set very high - - for excellent design, faultless technique, and maximum expressiveness. I work very hard to make my paintings beautiful, dynamic, and distinctive, and I am supremely grateful to my many collectors, for recognizing this and bringing my art into their homes, offices, and daily lives.
What do you use to make your paintings?
My original watercolors are created with high quality materials, including acid-free, archival papers and professional quality pigments. You can feel quite confident that your painting will remain bright and stable for a very long time! My recent reproductions are all giclées, which are printed on archival paper, using very stable inks.
And what about framing?
Many of my paintings are already framed, before I post them on this site. I do my own framing and use only acid-free mat-board, backing board, and artist tapes. I generally keep my framing simple and contemporary, so it supports and complements the art, without overpowering it. If you see a painting listed as FRAMED, I will be happy to email you a photo of it, in its frame, so you can see how the total package looks. Also, I am always quite willing to take a painting out of its frame, reduce its price accordingly, and sell it to you unframed, so you can arrange for custom framing.
How do I buy a painting?
Just email me, tell me what you want, and we can arrange payment via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Easy! Purchases made by collectors in North Carolina are subject to NC sales tax.
And what about shipping?
If you have a U.S. address, serviced by the U.S. Postal Service, I am happy to ship unframed paintings at no additional cost, usually rolled in a sturdy mailing tube. Framed paintings are packaged very carefully with lots of bubble wrap and protective cardboard, and I usually use UPS for this. There is an additional charge for framed shipping, depending on the painting's size and your location. But, I always try to keep shipping costs as affordable as possible!
Are returns allowed?
If you are not satisfied with your new painting, you may return it within thirty days of receipt, with return shipping costs and shipping insurance at your expense. Once I receive your painting back, in its original condition, I will refund your purchase price, minus any out-going shipping. I want you to be completely happy with any painting you buy from me!
